POVR review
POVR brings videos from multiple studios into one VR catalog. Its paid offer lists streaming and downloads, and its Quest guide describes a way to keep downloaded files on a computer and play them on the headset over the local network.
Find a studio or browse by format
POVR organizes its catalog by studio, category and performer. Its guide describes filtering and sorting and lists both 180° and 360° videos. The membership page advertises streaming and downloads at resolutions up to 8K. That figure describes the upper end of the offer. File choice still depends on the video and the playback setup.
Browser streaming and a PC library
For Quest 2 and Quest 3, POVR’s guide describes starting with the built-in browser. Its second workflow puts downloaded files on a PC and uses SKYBOX AirScreen to send them to the headset over Wi-Fi. This can keep large files off the headset’s own storage. The download sites directory is useful if you want to compare which catalogs offer files for a PC library.
Anabel’s take
The PC library is what makes the guide useful to me. I’d use the browser to browse a studio and consider AirScreen if I already kept my files on a computer.
