VRHush review

VRHush offers downloadable trailers and advertises streaming and downloads with membership. Its help pages are a useful starting point for readers who want to check how their player handles a saved VR file.

Start with a trailer file

The FAQ says trailers can be downloaded for free. The original Oculus Quest guide describes saving a video, opening it in a VR player and using an over-under stereo layout, which places the two eye views one above the other. The 3D media directory gives context for comparing formats across catalogs.

Set projection separately from stereo

The Quest guide describes 360° playback, while the membership pages advertise both 180° and 360° video. Those are projection choices. Over-under is the arrangement of the two eye images in the file. Match both settings to the particular video if the player asks you to choose.

Anabel’s take

I’d use a trailer to learn how the player presents those two settings. That is a better first step than assuming one projection works for every file in the library.
