VirtualPee review
VirtualPee is a niche subscription VR catalog. Its Oculus Rift help page documents both a web-player route and a way to watch downloaded videos, with format notes that matter when opening a file.
Identify the projection on the release
The Rift guide describes side-by-side video in both 180° and 360° and points readers to the release information to choose the right one. Side-by-side tells you how the two eye images are packed. The angle describes how far the scene wraps around you. The 3D media directory gives wider context for these formats.
Stream or open a local copy
For Rift, the site shows the glasses control in the web player. It also describes opening a downloaded file in a VR player. The site offers paid membership, and the Rift guide is the specific source for the workflow described here.
Anabel’s take
The format note is the useful part for me. It gives me a way to choose the right projection if a local player asks before opening a video.
