Smitten Stories review

Smitten Stories takes a prompt and character setup, then gives you a choice about where the result goes. It offers private sharing and publication to a community library. The distinction between those two matters, and so does the plan you use to create the story.

Keep the draft or share it

The public feature page describes defining characters, editing a generated story and saving or sharing it. It also advertises narration with Smitten Plus. The terms set a minimum age of 18, require rights in material you submit and prohibit stories depicting minors in mature contexts and non-consensual acts.

Check how the plan can use your writing

Smitten’s terms allow it to use free-plan output to improve its models. For paid users, its privacy policy says stories stay private unless published, and that the company trains on those stories only if the user opts in. The paid plan renews until cancelled. MySpicyVanilla says in its terms that it keeps generated work private by default and excludes it from model training.

Anabel’s take

I'd decide what to keep private before entering notes I meant to reuse in a longer project. The training terms would matter to me sooner than the number of generations available in a day.
