Babelicious review

Babelicious offers VR180 video with a separate file tier for Apple Vision Pro. Its documentation distinguishes the regular headset workflow from opening an Apple Immersive Video Utility package.

Use the file that goes with the tier

The plans list standard VR180 and an Apple Vision Pro tier with .aivu packages. For those packages, the FAQ describes downloading the file on Vision Pro and opening it in immersive mode. It says browser streaming on Vision Pro has limited support. The BadoinkVR review describes a different local playback route for the same headset using Moon VR Player.

The Quest route

The FAQ recommends DeoVR for VR180 viewing on Meta Quest, and the home page lists free sample files for specific Quest models. Choose the file intended for the model you use. That is a more practical starting point than judging the source by its advertised capture resolution.

Anabel’s take

The useful distinction is between the sample I can try on Quest and the Vision Pro format attached to a particular plan. I’d choose by how I intend to play the file.
