Erogen offers companion chat with plan credits and separately acquired credits. Its plans page explains how those balances are spent, and its chat guide describes setting a default persona for each character.
Extra credits stay after the plan allocation expires
Erogen says plan credits are spent first and expire at the next refresh, including after cancellation. It says extra credits, including purchased top-ups and rewards, do not expire. Kupid AI gives included Coins six months from crediting. Erogen sets the deadline for plan credits at the monthly refresh.
The chat guide lets you assign a persona per character
Erogen describes setting a different default persona for each character so the chat starts with the description you want it to use. Its FAQ lists private characters among paid features. The privacy policy says the prompts and context needed for replies go to third-party inference providers, with zero-retention settings used where available.

A monthly allocation works for me when I know what I will generate before the refresh. For occasional media, I value extra credits that can sit in the wallet until I need them.
