PromptChan review

PromptChan is an image-generation service with public and private creation modes. Its terms explain when plans renew and how the sharing mode affects reuse of your work.

The payment method determines whether the plan renews

PromptChan says recurring payment methods are labelled at checkout. The terms treat crypto and G2A payments as fixed-period subscriptions. If you choose a fixed period, check when it ends and how the plan handles your remaining credits.

Public mode changes the licence

The terms say you keep ownership of your creations. Public mode gives PromptChan a broad licence to reuse what you publish and gives other users rights to reuse it through the service. PromptChan says it claims no rights over images and prompts made in private or offline mode and leaves them out of public and commercial use. SpicyChat uses private mode to control who can open a character. PromptChan’s terms also describe what the service can do with work you publish.

Anabel’s take

I’d decide how I want to share my work before creating it. At checkout, I’d read the renewal label for the payment method I actually plan to use.
