RedTube review

By

RedTube is a free adult video platform with a conventional search-and-thumbnail layout. Categories, performer pages, studio channels and playlists give it several familiar ways to organise the library.

Useful controls without much explanation

Newest, trending, most-viewed, top-rated and duration-based lists offer alternatives to the initial selection. Language-related browsing is also described. Together, these make the catalog usable without depending entirely on a personalised feed.

Performer pages collect videos around a person, while channels organise them by studio or uploader. Playlists add a member's own selection, and account tools include favourites and subscriptions. History provides a way to return to earlier browsing. See also SpankBang review. See also XNXX review.

I like that the navigation does not need a long explanation. Search, sorting and saved lists are ordinary functions, but making them easy to identify is a worthwhile design choice.

Free browsing and other services

The core catalog is free, with advertising and a separate Premium offer around it. Live and dating links lead to additional services with their own conditions. Their place in the menu does not make them included features of a free video account.

A free account adds playlists, subscriptions and personalised recommendations; reviewers also describe downloads among the account features.
Search and filters
Duration and resolution filters help narrow a search, while time-period controls keep older popular entries from dominating every list.

XNXX

Account features
Performer pages give another way to browse, although the overall design relies heavily on compact lists and thumbnails rather than detailed profile presentation.
Search and filters
Tags and keyword search provide a more direct route.

Anabel's take

RedTube's appeal for me is its familiar organisation. The sorting controls and history are practical details for a return visit, and playlists add room for a personal selection. Advertising and cross-network promotions are the main distraction from that otherwise straightforward layout.
