Virtual Taboo review

Virtual Taboo is a VR video site with a free section and a paid offer that advertises unlimited streaming and downloads. Its viewing guide explains how browser playback differs from transferring a file to a headset.

Two paths on Apple Vision Pro

The Vision Pro guide describes Safari playback with WebXR feature flags. It also gives a local route that starts with a download to a computer, followed by a transfer to the headset and playback in a VR video player. Those are different setups, so the relevant guide depends on whether you plan to stream or keep a copy offline. The offline access directory lists other sites with download information.

The Quest guide is model-specific

For the original Oculus Quest and Quest 2, Virtual Taboo documents playback from the headset’s browser as well as transferring a downloaded file from a computer. The guide flags resolution limits tied to hardware and software. The site’s membership offer is where it describes unlimited use of both routes.

Anabel’s take

I appreciate that the guide separates browser playback from file transfer. I’d read the instructions for my headset before joining, especially if the point of paying is to watch away from Wi-Fi.
