PrivadoVPN review
PrivadoVPN’s Windows help describes two ways to handle a dropped VPN connection. One applies across the system and one is for selected apps or Windows processes. The choice is separate from deciding which traffic uses the VPN during normal operation.
Does the kill switch apply to the system or selected apps?
Privado’s Windows guide lists a system-wide Kill Switch and an Applications Kill Switch. Hide.me documents split tunneling, which decides which apps use the VPN while it is connected. Privado documents split tunneling separately as well.

Check the annual purchase terms
Privado’s privacy policy says it does not retain browsing history, VPN session IP logs or DNS queries. Its terms give eligible first-time annual purchases made on its own website a 30-day refund window, subject to payment conditions. Monthly plans, renewals and app-store purchases are excluded from that offer.
Anabel’s take
I’d start with the Windows settings screen and decide whether a disconnect should affect the whole computer or only a few apps. That’s the distinction I’d use to compare the two modes.
