DampLips review

DampLips approaches free video browsing as a blog as well as a tube. Written summaries sit alongside its listings, and PornVerdict describes a menu option that switches between the two layouts.

The writing is part of the interface

ThePornLinks describes articles accompanying studio clips. Pornsites highlights the archive and descriptions, rather than an elaborate filter system. That is a meaningful editorial difference: readers get some written context rather than only a thumbnail and a title.

PornVerdict describes sidebar sections, while ThePornLinks says dedicated category and performer directories are absent. A sidebar can organise a blog without supplying the more detailed browsing tools of a full video database.

Excerpts and commercial links

ThePornLinks and PornVerdict both describe clips around eight to ten minutes, rather than a catalog of complete releases. PornVerdict also records a Best Porn page pointing to paid studios. Free excerpts and commercial links are therefore different parts of the offer. See also XMegaDrive review. See also PornHub review.

Advertising is a recurring criticism. Pornsites additionally finds the mobile presentation awkward.

Anabel’s take

I find the blog/tube selector useful because the written summaries can remain part of the page without dictating its whole layout. The excerpt model also fits that editorial presentation. Dedicated category and performer directories would give the archive more structure alongside the articles.
